The Slopes. Bronti10

The Slopes of the Brontide Mountains are fairly easy to navigate for the most part, occasionally having a tricky one or two pop up. As easy as they are to navigate, it is extremely difficult to get all the way up to the top and begin your adventure, as the elevations are spectacular even in comparison with the Psithurism Forests. The Brontide Slopes are breathtaking, and to all wolves old and new alike hold a certain elegance about them.

There is very little prey around The Slopes, mostly small packs of mountain goats, which are very hard to fall.

The large black and white male walked through the valley. From a distance he looked like a formidable warrior and a rather dangeruos one at that. He had ran into a few loners while he was running, they had avoided him quite effectivly as most of the white on his pelt was now clumped together and stained with dryed blood. His ears rotated like radars, catching every sound. He made small clicking sounds and listening to the sound bounce of sollid objects and be absorbed by soft ones. He hadn't slept in the three days that he had been blinded. You could see herbs spread over the wounds on his body and eyes. He was carrying a small pouch made of an unknown animal's stomach that he had cleaned out and filled with the herbs required to heal his injuries. He slowed his pace as he neared what seemed to be a border then let out a long and loud howl before collapsing from exhaustion. He somehow managed to stay awake, but the memories of the fight flashed through his mind, the horrors still fresh in his mind. Bain's paws stung as he lay there, he chewed mint in his mouth and spread them on his paws, giving a cooling sensation instead of a raw burning one. He lifted his head and continued moving his ears so he could catch anything approaching him. He would sit here and wait for someone to come fetch him, but he wouldn't cross the border. The slashes over his eyes were deep, and had almost completely split his eyes in half. They were placed very preciselyin the center and someone would need to be as blind as him to think they were coincidentally sliced there.

White paws took slow steps as the black and red female travelled through the valley. The mountains on either side made a wonderful view, but Serana was having difficulty enjoying it. She had been walking nonstop for days; her legs were sore and the wound on her side, though mostly healed, still ached. She didn't stop, though. No matter how tired she was she had to keep going. She had to get as far away from where she had come from as she could. Serana flinched when she heard the howl. It painfully reminded her of what she had been, what she was. She knew this howl meant something different than her own, of course, but it still brought up the memories. Shaking her head she headed toward the sound. Her and other wolves probably wasn't the best idea, but she was never going to be able to help anyone if she stayed by herself.

It didn't take her very long to reach him, seeing as he wasn't moving. She moved a little closer and was able to gt a better look at the first stranger she'd met since leaving her siblings. He was laying down, his coat a mix of white fur stained with blood and black markings on his head and paws. He looked injured, but she was no healer. Still, she felt the need to check on him but she wasn't sure how. She hadn't really ever interacted with anyone that wasn't her family. Well, there was Crais ... but she didn't want to think about him now. She sat silently for a moment before moving a little closer(but not too close) "Are ... you alright?" she asked awkwardly.

Bain could smell something, another wolf, but not from the pack who's border he was laying on. Then he heard pawsteps on the brittle grass as the wolf grew nearer. Bain tensed, ready to defend himself. Then the strange wolf talked, "Are ... you alright?" it was a female. Bain got to his feet without a stumble, revealing his damaged yet bulky body. He smelled strongly of herb, as every wound had some on it. "Oh I'm just fan-freaking-tastic!" he said with a hint of a snarl as he made a clicking sound so he could effectively look towards the female. He could tell how wide across and tall she was so he used that information to find her eyes. His slit ones were narrowed and around his eyes was his own blood, though the rest of it on his face wasn't his. He sighed and sat down, why be rude to the female? She wasn't hurting anything. He relaxed slightly before speaking "My name is Bain Tiberius Khan, of the elite warriors of Night-Eye." this was his official greeting, or what he'd been trained to greet others with. Normally there would have been a salute to go along with it, but as this wolf seemed just as packless as him he decided to skip that part.

"Oh I'm just fan-freaking-tastic!"

One of Serana's ears and the corner of her mouth twitched slightly. His use of words amused her a bit, but she tried to keep a straight face. He stood and turned to face her, making an odd clicking noise in the process, and the first thing she saw were the scars over his eyes and his cloudy eyes. He was blind. That was interesting, she'd never met a blind wolf before. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she observed him. His eyes were narrowed in suspicion, though, knowing what she knew, she couldn't blame him and he was covered in blood so he must have been in some sort of trouble recently.

"My name is Bain Tiberius Khan, of the elite warriors of Night-Eye."

Well now, that was a mouthful.

"My name is -," she paused for a moment. Should she really be telling him her name? If he happened to know who she was then this meeting could go south fast. On the other hand she didn't like liars or pretenders. She thought for a moment and then finished her sentence, "Serana." She opened her mouth to speak again and then stopped herself. What was she going to say? It was what, nice? good? to meet him? Neither of those words correctly summed how she was feeling these days. However, another greeting occured to her just then that would suffice for the moment, "Well met, Bain Tiberius Khan."

At this point Bain was pretty sure that the female, now known as Serana, meant him no harm. He dipped his head slightly as she spoke her name, it sounded familiar somehow, but he didn't know where he'd heard it from. One of his ears flicked, but that was about the only thing that indicated suspicion. If he had been able to see he might have remembered a bit more of the gossip around the old den. His ears hadn't stopped moving the entire time he had talked to the female, and every now and then he would make sure to get a good sniff of the wind. He was being vary cautious, but of course if you had recently watched you friends get slaughtered after you killed twenty wolves so would you. Vengeance was a very real thing, and he was pretty sure that not all of the wolves in that clearing were satisfied with his punishment. "Nice name, has sort of a simple elegance about it." he spoke in an almost flattery way. It had been three days since the last time he slept, and it was starting to sink in right about now. His ears slowly began to stop swiveling as his brain slowly lost it's edge, Bain knew that all common sense was about to be thrown out the window, but he found that at that moment he simply didn't care anymore.

"Nice name, has sort of a simple elegance about it."

"Thank you," she said, slightly uncomfortable with the complement. She hadn't received one in such a long time. She shook her head slightly, brushing it off. She returned to watching him again. He seemed to be on alert, like he was expecting trouble. His ears were constantly moving and he kept turning his nose to the wind. She didn't pry, however, whatever he was watching for was his business and she would find out if he decided to share. "So ... what are you doing here, anyway?" she asked curiously. It seemed like a rather random place to stop; there was no shelter or anything around s far as she could see. Though, he was blind, so he may have just decided to rest here she supposed.

Bain looked behind him and spoke "There's a border here, I'm waiting for someone to escort me to an alpha." he said steadily before turning back around and making another clicking noise at Serana to get a better 'look' at her. "You seem to be built for stealth and speed, were you a hunter in your old pack? Or maybe a warrior? You seem to be fit for both." he paused for a moment before continuing "Yet there's something off about you, the vibe that you're sending. What's wrong?" he asked, cocking his head slightly to the side. "It doesn't seem like a pack would cast out someone that was so obviously useful." he inquired. He was searching for a further hint on who this wolf was, the name was annoyingly familiar.

She was drawn to a howl; Not the sorrowful, panicked one of someone in trouble. Neither was it the lonesome and hopeless one of a shattered soul.
It was just an announcement; It was calling.
Adair had already been in the area, redefining the lines of the territory herself, seeing as no one else had joined and taken over the role.
It sometimes became too much.

Adair loped slowly, in no rush to meet this stranger. The fact that he had howled at all meant that he wanted some sort of attention--He could be patient. Do you really want to keep someone waiting though? What if he's in pain...
Her posture was stiff, precise and perfected from months, years of practice, and though it seemed exhausting to keep such a posture, it would've been more painful for the female to relax. Her eyes danced over the landscape, her lips parting to sigh once again as she beheld the breathtaking beauty.
This was her new home.

"My name is Bain Tiberius Khan, of the elite warriors of Night-Eye."
Adair slowed as the male, Bain, spoke. Clearly, he was speaking to someone else--She hadn't realized it, but beneath the mash of blood, herbs, and minted pines, she could detect the faint scent of rain--before it fell, laced with smokey fires. It was feminine.
Not soon after, the other wolf gave her name; "Serana."
Such beautiful names...

By now, Adair could see them, and she almost regretted it. Not because they were ugly, but for the beauty. Bain was riddled in wounds, Serana was a mix of reds, and blacks.
Something strange was hanging off of Bain, and she could smell herbs inside it. Adair felt her own eyes go to Bains--Clouded over with blindness, matching scars trailing down the center of each. Seranas were just as curious, an orange that Adair had only seen in her own reflection.

"There's a border here, I'm waiting for someone to escort me to an alpha." Oh, of course-
Adair prepared herself to step forward, but froze when Bain made an odd noise, and then described Serana.
Accurately. Is he not blind?

Shaking off her curiosity, Adair stepped forward, making no move to hide herself. She approached the two easily, ears perked and irises shifting between the two.
She stared, hard, at both of them; Not to make them uncomfortable, just because it was what she did.
"Bain, Serana, welcome to Ozone. I am Adair Danae Orpheus, alphess of this land. Your business?" Despite the formality of her words, the tone of her voice was friendly, perhaps even slightly eager.
These were the first wolves to have come this far.

While she waited for a response, her eyes once more assessed the two loners in front of her. Clearly, Bains weakness was his eyesight, and partner that with his wounds and he would be easy to handle, more or less. He had introduced himself as some elite warrior.
Serana, on the other hand, seemed harder to figure out; As Bain had said earlier, she was both well muscled and lean, and her stance was slightly unnerving.
Adair could take her, right?
She didn't spend much time debated the subject, instead looking for trees to go out from, to pass through should she need to.

(This isn't all that grand sorry ^^")

The Slopes. 2d5lwy
"There's a border here, I'm waiting for someone to escort me to an alpha."

Serana blinked in surprise and looked around. Border? Hmm, normally she was more observant but she hadn't had much experience with territory borders ... Whenever she was on a contract the target was usually shunned from any packlands when they heard so she was hardly ever in pack territory. Minos never marked borders as that would defeat the purpose of hiding their den. Now that she knew to look for one it was quite apparent, and now the location where he stopped made more sense. The fact they were so close to a pack was beginning to make her uncomfortable; she didn't know if she would ever feel welcome in the presence of other wolves.

"You seem to be built for stealth and speed, were you a hunter in your old pack? Or maybe a warrior? You seem to be fit for both. It doesn't seem like a pack would cast out someone that was so obviously useful."

Serana's ears flattened and her expression, which had been somewhat relaxed and neutral, hardened into a mask of anger and pain. She glared, not so much at Bain, more at his words than anything. She tried to push the feelings back down and get out some sort of answer. She wouldn't tell the whole truth, however; that would only come out if someone actually recognized her. "I ... I was a warrior, of sorts. I left my old pack for ... personal reasons," Serana tried to keep her voice cool as she did her best to explain without giving the whole truth. Luck struck and she was saved having to continue speaking about with the arrival of a new wolf.

"Bain, Serana, welcome to Ozone. I am Adair Danae Orpheus, alphess of this land. Your business?"

When the new wolf introduced herself as alpha Serana stiffened and sat up straight, a reflex from before. "Well met, Alphess Adair," she said softly as she bowed slightly in respect. She didn't speak again, however, as she was unsure of what to say. Perhaps she should stay here, perhaps not. She wanted to help others but she wasn't sure how to go about it just yet. She did keep her pose stiff and straight, though, as she had been taught to when in the presence of a leader.

The male simply shrugged, if she didn't want to tell him so be it. Bain's ears caught the sound of a new pair of pawsteps at that exact moment. He turned his head toward the sound and sniffed the air, deffinately someone from the pack. "Bain, Serana, welcome to Ozone. I am Adair Danae Orpheus, alphess of this land. Your business?" He was turned completely around now to face the alphess. He made the clicking sound again to distinguish the female's build. Definitely well muscled, lean yet not at the same time. He then bowed his head slightly and spoke his intentions, "I wouldn't be of much use to you as a fighter as of late, but I was trained in healing just as much as I was in injuring. I wish to be a healer in your pack... if you will have me of course." he kept his head bowed as he waited for a answer. If he was turned down, oh well. Though he didn't really think he'd be able to make his way out of the valley.

‘’Speech’’
‘’Thought’’
‘’Other’s speech’’

Whistling sounds and thuds of paw steps as an old yet active male stepped through the forest. He came across the wood’s edge, stepping out from behind the tree line and looking up he stared in away. In front of him was a huge plain-view area, with big mountains at the horizon. He let out a long whistle and then feel quiet as he stared at the beautiful view for a few more minutes.
‘’Wow, that’s amazing. I haven’t seen such a beautiful sight in… two weeks?’’, he asked himself before falling silent again. ‘’Has it already been two weeks…? I can’t really remember. But I know I’ve been alone way too long…’’
Theo ld male sighed, shaking his head; he had been alone for way too long, yes. He loved company, and hated to be on his own without anyone to talk to. As he stepped down the path towards the plains, he suddenly smelled the scent of wolves; three to be exact. The wind came his direction, carrying along the smells. ‘’Wolves. Three. I need to find them! Maybe they’re a pack, maybe I can stay with them till I die of old age. If they let me near them, that is. I got to be careful when approaching them. But then again… if they have had proper upbringing, they will have respect for their elders.’’
With those thoughts Medicine set off to find the three wolves. Keeping his head low as he walked he had his ears perked so he would hear every sound. Being eight years of age he was pretty old for a wild wolf, and he probably wouldn’t live long. But even though he was old, he still had the mind of a two years old wolf. ‘’Staying young of mind keeps you young of body. At least, that’s what I believe.’’

Medicine came closer and closer to the wolves, he knew, he could tell. He was becoming a bit deaf and his eyesight was becoming less and less almost every day, but he still could smell really well. The scents came to their maximum and Medicine lifted his head, glancing at three different wolves, two females and one male. The male seemed wounded, maybe slightly, but Medicine wasn’t really sure. Stepping closer he had a bright smile on his face, his tail wagged slightly.
‘’Hello there, children. I’m Medicine, I’m looking for a pack in which I can spend my last living days in peace.’’, he said, still smiling. Eyeing around the area to look at the three unknown wolves, he thought of what else he could tell them, or ask them.
‘’I assume you are a pack, a small one, but you are?’’, he then asked, sitting down and curling his tail around his body, trying to get more comfortable on the ground. ‘’Is the Alpha around? I would love to speak to them. I’m not just old, I can still attend to things, help around in the pack. If you need me to, that is. I might be old but I still have a young body and mind.’’, he continued to say, giggling at his last words.

A tiny brown pup weakly padded along through the soft grass in the valley. His steps were slow and painful as he whimpered softly with each step. His build was very thin since he was really to young to hunt on his own. He parents had told him and his siblings that at three months old they would show them how to hunt, but since his family was now gone he had never been shown.
His small stomach growled begging for his mother's milk as tiny tears formed in his eyes. 'Why? Why did I have to be here? In this world? I never asked to be here and yet I was forced to come. Forced to live a very painful life where everyone hates or fears me...I never should how been born...if mom and dad had killed me then I wouldn't have been here to mock and scream at...'

Purokisha tripped suddenly over his own weak paws and yelped loudly as he rolled a short ways from where he had just stood. He bumped into a soft tuff of grass as his body started shaking violently from fear. He whimpered and forced himself to stand. As he slowly stated to calm his shaking body he looked out over the land in front of him. His tiny eyes grew as he took in the sights, turning his head slowly so as not to miss any piece of the land.
“W-wow...” Purokisha said in a shocked whisper. He had never seen such a beautiful landscape being only two months old. He smiled a soft smile before sitting down where he stood. As he was taking in the sights he hear loud fast foot steps and looking behind him to see a huge furry beast with horns running towards him. He yelped loudly and took off running as fast as his tiny legs would carry him. 'What is that!? Why is it trying to get me? Maybe I did something wrong again...they pwobably saw my fall and shaking...I am sowwy Mr. Monster...'

The tiny pup tried to slow down but since he was so scared he ended up twitching violently and falling to the ground once more. He opened his eyes slowly and stared ahead. 'Story of my life...anoder twitch anoder fall...stupid body...'
As he laid on the ground trying to stop his tears he hear voices. Raising his head slowly and weakly he turned his ears towards the voices. He sniffed the air and smell the scent of several wolves. He lowered his head back onto the ground and sighed. 'Great...ugh what do I do...I don't have the strwength to keep running from the whole world...so tired...wish I had some food...or mama's milk...that would...be...bet...ter...'
Purokisha closed his tiny eyes sleepily having used the last of his strength to run from the monster. His breathing slowed and he rolled onto his side curling into a tiny ball. Maybe this would finally be his chance. The one he had been wishing for over the last few days. To go to sleep and never wake up. To finally be free of the world that he felt would never want him in it. A small wishful smiled formed on his mouth as his body twitched every few seconds.

"Well met, Alphess Adair,"
Adair bowed slightly in return, pleased with the formality and respect Serana utilized. It made her feel like the boss; Not the imposter pretending to be one.
Not soon after she spoke, Bain made his clicking noises again, this time in the alphess' direction. He seemed satisfied, apparently, when he bowed his head and began speaking.
"I wouldn't be of much use to you as a fighter as of late, but I was trained in healing just as much as I was in injuring. I wish to be a healer in your pack... if you will have me of course."

"I've noticed" Adair chuckled slightly, her voice gaining an impressed lilt as she once more observed the various pastes clinging to the muscled build of Bain. "We're in dire need for a healer," As it was with everything else. "You'll make a wonderful addition to Ozone." Her lips parted wide as she finished, face beaming and eyes glowing as she gazed at Bain.
To say she was excited right now, would be like describing the sun as yellow. So vague it almost hurt.

It suddenly all hit her really hard when a new voice swam up from behind her, and Adair stiffened. Her eyes once again flitted over to the trees she was eyeing earlier, pondering escape plans. She glanced behind her briefly, then over to Bain again.
She thought of Aurelius, and cringed away from Bains blind eyes, looking over to Serana with a strange, almost curious stare, laced with terror.
She stared for a long time, and the wolf behind her, Medicine, spoke more. You're not being a good alpha, as of late... Turn around.

Adair forced out her own shaky laugh as Medicine chuckled, and she turned to face him. She mimicked his body, curling her tail around her own paws. The only thing different was her posture; Stick straight, as though she had a metal rod for a spine.
"I am the alpha, and this is Ozone. You may call me Adair, or Ember should you prefer that." She smiled weakly, overwhelmed with the three new wolves. So far, none of them posed any real threats, perhaps Serana, but she showed no intention of starting anything. She was just healthy, and... Young. As are you...

Cocking her head, Adair continued to stare at Medicine, though her ears rotated to the sound of someone yelping. It was high, shrill, and panicked, leading her to assume it was a pup. Adair, being Adair, couldn't just leave a pup to the horrors of the wilderness.
"Follow me if you wish to join, we'll be going to the main den. I hear someone though, and I should like to inspect them first. Bain, if you need us to stop, feel free to ask. We'll leave when I return."
With this, she strolled away from Serana, Medicine, and Bain, heading towards where she thought the noise was from.
And yes, it was a pup.
His small body was draped in luscious shades of dark brown, quivering slightly in the soft breeze, like the feathers on a bird. He was so young, far too young it seemed to be allowed on his own.
"Darling," Adair bent down, nudged the boy with her nose. "Wake up."

Silver kept running and running till she ended up here, she keeps looking over her shoulder for any one coming after her. The Alpha Female to her father's pack had been killed, known as her step mom, her father was the Alpha Male. Silver went to her father's pack to speak to her step mom and when she got there she was dead. There was not one drop of blood on Silver but yet she was on the run, for killing the Alpha Female. All Silver wanted was to talk to her but no, she was wanted for killing her step mom. She was found standing over her body and now half the pack was after her. But Silver being quick on her paws out ran them several miles back, and now she was here.

Purokisha whimpered softly under his breath as his thoughts and memories of the last few days flew through his mind as he slept. His tiny body twitched in fear as he whimpered softly his dreams haunting him.

“Why is it that your alive while the others are dead?” Purokisha jumped and twitched violently in fear as he heard his Grandfather growl at him.
“I-I-I d-don't kn-know why *twitch * gr-gr-grandp-”
“Don't call me that!”
Puro whimpered and closed his eyes in fear as his body shook faster. He pulled back his ears and lowered his head.
“We don't ignore you, Purokisha.”
Puro opened his eyes and saw his father looking down on him with disgust in his eyes.
“Everyone of you pups are special. Just some of your siblings are better then you.”
Puro's eyes filled with tears and he turned suddenly running away from where his father sat. 'I am sorry father...i didn't ask to be a disappwointment to you...i didn't want to be born with so many problems...'
Suddenly something hit him hard in the stomach causing him to yelp and roll sideways before slamming into a rock. He cried out and shook his head trying to still his body.
“Don't touch it! It's got rabies or something wrong with it!”
Puro shook his head screaming out at the top of his lungs.
“I-I-I don't! I-I-I n-ne-never asked *twitch* t-to be d-dif-diffewent!”
Puro cried loudly as he looked around him seeing everyone he knew turning away from him. He watched them walk away not even bothering to look back. He stood up still shaking as tears poured from his tiny eyes. “F-Fine then! *twitch* B-b-be that w-way! I-I-I *twitch* D-don't need an-any-anyone!”

Puro shook his head whimpering softly as he slowly stirred.
“Darling.”
Puro opened his eyes squinting at the bright day-light. He saw a large shadow standing over top him and froze. The shadow nudged him softly as he heard it speak again.
“Wake up.”
Puro's whole body jolted violently as he yelped at the top of his lungs. He tried to stand but quickly fell back down due to his body shaking to bad. His breathing increased as he looked at the shadow blinking his eyes quickly. He finally saw that the shadow was actually a wolf. A wolf that was many different colors and a lot bigger then him. He whimpered softly before finding his voice at long last.
“N-no...*twitch *...n-n-no...”
He shook his head slowly backing away from the wolf. “D-D-Don't *twitch * w-w-wann-n-na b-be *twitch * t-t-touched...”

The Slopes. 2d5lwy
Serana, still keeping her rigid pose, went as still again as more wolves began to show up; first a grey, older wolf that introduced himself as Medicine and a younger, lighter colored female, though she did not speak. She was saved having to speak with any of them by the sound of yelping, which Adair also heard and went to investigate. Serana kept not far behind her; perhaps this was her chance to be of use. It wasn't long before they came upon a tiny pup laying in the grass. The small, brown bundle of fur twitched slightly as he slept. Adair spoke to him and nudged him awake. The pup slowly woke up and squinted at the adults above him and jerked away with another yelp.

"N-no...*twitch*...n-n-no... D-D-Don't *twitch* w-w-wann-n-na b-be *twitch* t-t-touched..."

Serana frowned slightly at the pup as he slowly backed away. His overreaction was curious, what had happened to him that had caused such a fear of a simple touch? It was heartbreaking to see him shiver, shake and stutter the way he did. Serana, though she was ready if she was needed, didn't move any closer and she just waited to see how Adair handled the situation. She did turn her nose to the wind, though, and check for any other nearby wolves; a pup this young couldn't have gotten too far on his own. She didn't notice any scents other than the wolves she had met or knew were nearby. That was odd. He was far too young and small to be on his own.

Bain heard a new set of pawsteps and becked away from them slightly, but kept his head bowed to the alphess. The new wolf didn't seem to be a threat and he made that clear almost immediately. The wolf was old, he didn't seem to think he'd around much longer by the way he was speaking. "I've noticed" Adair spoke before chuckling slightly, which Bain himself though was a little soon, but joined in with a small smile. He lifted his head after being excepted, smiling broadly until he heard a yelp. "Follow me if you wish to join, we'll be going to the main den. I hear someone though, and I should like to inspect them first. Bain, if you need us to stop, feel free to ask. We'll leave when I return." This made Bain feel like a bit of a dead weight, but he could see how he might be considered that way. He was blind after all, and his discomfort and weariness were quite obvious. He listened as Adair walked off before following her. The one who had yelped might have been injured, so he grabbed his 'bag' of herbs and followed the scent of Adair. Bain tried to reason with himself that he wasn't directly disobeying orders, he was only doing what he thought was best. When Adair stopped Bain slightly bumped into her, smiling apologetically at her hemade a clicking noise in the direction she was facing and noticed a small shape on the ground. There was a pup. It spoke with a stutter and seemed to be either frightened or nervous. Some poppy seeds would easily take care of that, but seeing as he didn't know that there was anything actually wrong with the pup yet he wasn't going to shove the seeds in his face. He looked downwards at the pup and spoke in a gentle voice, "Where are your parents, young one?". He figured he might as well ask. He suddenly heard someone coming and sniffed the air, but relaxed afterwards. It was just Serana.

‘’Thought’’
‘’Speech’’
‘’Other’s speech’’

Medicine's eyes fell on a female with different shades of brown. She seemed to feel rather uneasy and as Medicine read her body language he could tell she didn't quite know how to react in this situation. As for the other two wolves, they were rather quiet at well. But Medicine didn't mind; as long as he had company, at least someone who would listen to him or be near him, he would be fine with it. He perked his ears and looked her way as the female he had watched before suddenly turned around and mimicked his posture, addressing him.
‘’I am the alpha, and this is Ozone. You may call me Adair, or Ember should you prefer that.’’, the female said and Medicine nodded, smiling.
‘’A young strong name, Adair, I like it.’’, he said, but his ears twitched in worry at the sound of screaming; it sounded like a pup's.
‘’Is there a pup in danger...? I hope it's fine and that we're not too late...’’

‘’Follow me if you wish to join, we'll be going to the main den. I hear someone though, and I should like to inspect them first. Bain, if you need us to stop, feel free to ask. We'll leave when I return.’’
‘’Wait, I'm right behind you, Alpha.’’, Medicine responded to her words and he got to his paws, following Adair, looking at the other two wolves which he didn't know the name of yet.
As he glanced behind him he saw yet another wolf, a female, he hadn't met yet. Smiling at her kindly and warmly like a,grandfather would he asked her to come with them, in case they could need her help with something. He wasn't the only one following Adair, though, as now the male and female who had been here before him went after Adair as well.
It didn't take long before they found a small pup asleep, or passed out, Medicine wasn't sure. But the sight of the kid worried him greatly, and the others seemed to worry as well.

‘’Darling, wake up.’’, Adair spoke as she nudged the child, but the kid seemed scared. The male wolf spoke to the kid as well, his seemingly blind eyes interested Medicine.
‘’Where are your parents, young one?’’
‘’N-no...*twitch *...n-n-no... D-D-Don't *twitch * w-w-wann-n-na b-be *twitch * t-t-touched...’’, the kid whimpered and a worried whine filled with pity escaped Medicine's throat. He scurried a bit closer but gave the kid his space so he wouldn't get so scared again. Looking down at the little boy he smiled warmly.
‘’He's scared but so alone... we need to help him.’’, he thought, eyeing the tiny pup.
‘’Don't worry little boy, we won't hurt you. We want to help you.’’, he began. He slowly laid down beside the kid, groaning very slightly as he began to feel his aging in his bones. Still laying a few feet away ftom the little pup, he continued his conversation. He didn't expect the kid to speak back to him, but he just wanted to make sure he knew they meant no harm to him. ‘’I'm Medicine, an Elder of this pack. We're not going to hurt you. You can become our family if you want to. Are you hurt? Hungry? What's your name, kiddo?’’
‘’I want to be his grandfather.’’

Jazzhah was still on her travels, all the way from the state of Montana. She didn't have a clue as to where she was, but she liked the fact that it wasn't nearly as chilly as it was back home. She stopped and looked around the area, and sniffed for any sorts of food. Nothing, except some goat... Which wasn't her favorite. She was determined to either join a pack, or probably start one just like her father did.
She was always a daddy's girl growing up, and she knew that. Having to leave her father for warmer weather broke her heart. There wasn't a day on her travels that she didn't think of him, and she longs to see him again.

Wait a minute...
She picked up a new scent. Wolves. More like a pack of wolves.
Oh well lucky me...
Jazz traveled in the direction of the scent, and sure enough there was a small group of wolves. Two of them seemed to be trying to help out a pup that was scared out of its mind.
Damn... Just accept the help, pup. What's wrong with you?
She rolled her eyes and sighed silently, and wondered how long it would take for the wolves to notice her watching them.

Hearing a voice ask her to follow she nodded and trailed behind, way behind. Silver was not to found of wolves just talking to her and asking her to join them, so she did any way. Her grey blue eyes scanned the area not knowing where she was going or who these wolves where. but if they had protection she would go.

Purokisha sat curling in a tiny ball as he stared at all the wolves that had come rushing over to him. His body jolt and twitched violently as he grew more and more upset and scared. He didn't like having so many wolves near him. The last time he had so many wolves this close to him it had been just a fee days ago. The day his family had been killed and his grandfather had screamed at him for being the only one left.
Puro whimpered softly at the memory before blinking back tears. As he looked over all of the wolves he decided it would probably be in his best interest to not even try to open his mouth. The last thing all of them wanted to hear was his stuttering again.
"Where are your parents, young one?’’
Puro turn his shaking head slowly to see a white looking wolf addressing him. He blinked his eyes frantically trying to think of what he could do to answer this wolf. Speaking was out of the question since Puro knew he wouldn't be able to talk clearly.

"Don't worry little boy, we won't hurt you."
Puro jumped a little again and turned his tiny twitching body to see another looking at him. He appeared quite a older then the other wolves who Puri had spoken to so far. Just by looking at him he could tell he was a lot older then him.
Puro stared at the wolf as he watched him thru wide eyes walk closer and lay down.
"We want to help you. I'm Medicine, an Elder of this pack. We're not going to hurt you. You can become our family if you want to. Are you hurt? Hungry? What's your name, kiddo?"
Puro shook his head frantically back and forth. He didn't want any help from anyone for fear of them hurting him further if they found out more about him.
'They will be just like everyone else...either they will fear me wanting to end my life for fear of catching what I have or...or they will laugh and pick on me again...'
Puro heard more paws pad up and he turned to find another wolf standing in the distance. He whimpered softly feeling very scared and uncomfortable with so many people surrounding him.
He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down thru his thoughts. 'It's okay...they can't hurt you anymore...well...they can but it's not like you aren't use to it alweady Puro...just need to calm down...body and legs pwease stop twitching and jolting so much...'

After a minute Puro opened his eyes to look up at the wolves. Not talking to any wolf in general he spoke in a soft voice.
"M-m-my name...(twitch)...it-it-it's...it's P-purok-kisha...s-sorry I...(twitch)...in-inwaded...(twitch)...m-me l-l-leave if y-you want...(twitch)...an-and before you as-ask...n-no...(twitch)...be-be-bewieve it or n-not...there is (twitch) n-n-nothing wrong w-with me...(twitch)..."
Puro felt tears form in his tiny eyes and he blinked his eyes quickly sending the tears down his cheeks.
"...I-I-I can't g-give you a (twitch) in-incuwable di-di-di..." Puro closed his eyes struggling with the word. "Di-di...di-di-di (twitch) di-dis...s-s-sickness...I am j-just...(twitch)...j-j-just special...and...an-and..."
Puro slowly lowered his head down to the ground letting out a yawn. Since he had managed to calm himself he was getting very tired again. The lack of sleep and food was really starting to get to him. He closed his eyes before slowly opening them again.
"...s-s-so your all-all...(twitch)...s-safe...and as for m-my pawents...they are g-gone...(twitch)...it-it-it okay dough...they h-hated me any-anyways...(twitch)...j-j-just like everybody does..."

Adair flinched backwards when the pup began twitching, snapping at her slightly. Before long, the rest of the wolves joined. There was a new one, but she was far behind, and Adair paid no attention to her. However, he silence set Adair on edge, and she wanted to throw her against a tree.
Maybe then she'd say something.

Am I so terrifying a pup trembles at the sight of me? Medicine was soothing the pup, Purokisha, right away, and so Adair stepped back. She had never been overly fond of pups, but she did like them--She just didn't handle them well.
Her tail stroked the ground behind her, paws twitching as she listened to the pup give its little backstory. Everyone hated this little pup? What for? Just because he twitches? Maybe thats it?
She cringed slightly, turning around to look at something else. Her eyes went over to Seranas right away, but only for the briefest of moments until she noticed another wolf behind them. A female, with a wonderful coat. She was silent too, but she wasn't silent like the silver one was, just respectful.
"You may approach, female. Im Adair, and you're currently on Ozone territory. What brings you here?" Her words were short, with little emotion in them despite her being oddly at ease once again.
She tracked the movements of the birds overhead while she waited for an answer.

(This is horrendous omg.)

Silver stopped where she was as she thought the Alpha was talking to her, she had no idea who the Alpha was talking to so Silver answered any way. " I am looking for a place to belong to." She said shortly wandering if this was such a good idea or not. She had no idea any more.
